Xbox Series X doesn’t appear on the Xbox iOS app, its says “Set up a console”

So for the current week, I am visiting a relative in a different state. My Xbox in Maryland has remote features on and cloud gaming. However, yesterday, I checked the Xbox app and saw that there was no console. It also wanted me to set up a new or existing console. Since I need a registered console to access remote play, the only thing I can do is use a browser to get cloud gaming. Please help me!

That’s the thing: I am AWAY from Maryland. My friend is busy and I can’t to anything here.

Sorry to hear about that. Unfortunately, at this point, there's no way to remotely configure your console for remote play unless someone is willing to do so for this for you.

To help prevent this from happening, its always best to ensure that your Xbox app is up to date and your console is listed under Console list on the app.

If you have set the remote feature on your console back in Maryland, try to add an existing console to check if the app would be able to communicate with your console back home. Though, if not, you might need help from someone back home to try to restart your console at least and double-check the settings for remote play as well.

If none, unfortunately, at this point, you may need to be near your console to ensure you've set it up correctly.

Hmm, when I looked at the update earlier today it gave specific instructions on how to get Smartglass on your iOS (access it through My Xbox app). Now they're saying that its not yet available for iOS. So I guess this is not the Smartglass app yet. Regardless,
the additions to the My Xbox app still appear to have been added by monkeys.
