Xbox Series X Does nothing!

I'm experiencing an issue with my Series X, the whole unit has become unresponsive.

I can navigate menus with no issue, lag or delays, however no apps or games will open you hover over them and click but nothing ever happens. No games can be installed and no games can be played via cloud gaming.
If a game does then move to the queue it sits indefinitely on "installing..." with no download starting. This can the no longer be cancelled and will just sit there.

I have removed any external SSD and performed a full reset of the console as well as numerous power cycles, checked wifi connection which is full 5ghz with 300+mb down, NAT is OPEN and all tests show good connection.

The console is also updated to latest software.

At a loss with it now as is a good as a brick.!

Hello Doubled9191, sorry to hear you're having trouble with your console.

When you say you did a reset was it keeping games and apps or deleting everything?

If it was deleting everything but you're still having the same problem then it may be an issue with the hard drive which would need a repair. You can set up a repair for the console at https://account.microsoft.com/devices. Once set up and you've received your shipping label via email you can pack up the console.

Please be sure to send only the console and nothing else as Xbox does not guarantee that extra items such as cables or controllers will be returned

does the same on the original xbox one, xbox one s, xbox one x, xbox series x and s.

by design, nothing you can do.

think it even did it on the xbox 360's that had wifi too.

First please follow this:

1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

2. Select System > Settings > Preferences.

3. Under Capture & share, please choose don't allow game captures

Then we will powercycle:

1. Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off.

2. Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the Xbox button on your controller.

Lastly, Allow the game captures again:

1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

2. Select System > Settings > Preferences.

3. Under Capture & share, please choose allow game captures

series x has disc drive and the series s does not

smart delivery is so it downloads the content for the specific console

hence why the game case has series x and xbox one advertised on it. the disc can be used in series x and xbox one consoles, the series s does not have a drive therefore requires digital purchase.

Dear friend, it seems like you are a newbie and the worst thing is that Xbox support gives you irrelevant answers, the fan noise increases on many games on Xbox series x and it has nothing to do with your console. The problem is that the game publisher does not properly optimize the game.

There is nothing wrong with your console and it has nothing to do with dust, I spent some time testing this on a few different xbox series x consoles and found that some games cause this to happen due to lack of proper optimization.
