Am i seriously going to need to start a class action lawsuit over the new series x only reading certian games? Its been almost 9 months ive waited for an update to fix. Certain games play, others dont, all brand new discs. SO MANY OTHER PEOPLE ARE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM. US CONSUMERS PAY OVER $500 FOR A WORKING CONSOLE, i realize you may be a multi- million dollar corp but us average Americans can barley afford rent and food right now, let alone pay a ton for a repair thats YOUR fault, we did nothing to our console for this to happen. You can probably expect a class action soon. This is ridiculous. No an NAT reset does not work. No, hard resetting does not work. Yes, the discs that wont read in my xbox will work in others. Yes, ive changed the eco power mode and hard reset. Yes, ive already completely reset my console to factory. Yes, ive already cleared the cache. I’ve literally went through every…single…setting…option to no avail. But THE DISC DRIVE WORKS ON HALF OF MY GAMES THE DISC DRIVE WORKS IF I SEND IT IN YOULL JUST SEND IT BACK SAYING OHHHH IT WORKS JUSTTTTT FINEEEE. BSSS. What kind of company are you running? Obviously you dont care at all about your consumers.

I dont have the money to send in for repairs. So no. I have not. Not that i should be the one that needs to pay anyways. I take EXTREMELY good care of my things. I spent more on this console than any other and this is what i get? Discs that used to work no longer work such as black ops 1,2 and 3 for 360. Call of duty ww2 works. Modern warfare 2, the new one for series x does not work. dying light 2 for series x/one works. Cyberpunk for xbox one works. It used to though, just like all the black ops used to work. It’s literally random dude quit looking for a rhyme or rhythm, something is faulty in the system. You guys are looking for any other possibility other than taking responsibility and its super irritating. Ive been with xbox since the 360 and this is how loyal customers are treated?

As per your description, the disc game that does not work in you Xbox Series X console are the following:

Black Ops 1, 2 and 3 which works in Xbox 360
Modern Warfare 2

Those are the above game disc that does not work in your Xbox Series X and those games were already working in your previous game console.

There are disc games that will not work in Xbox Series X console. If those games are included in backward compatibility library, then those disc game will still work in your new console. This is not something with your device but it is something with the disc game.

To find out if the games you own are backward compatible, check your game library. Go to My games & apps > See all > Full library, select the Filter button, and change the All console types filter to either Xbox 360.

Have you check game disc restrictions, like if this is for Xbox 360 only?

what about series X?

Yes, the Series X has a Blu-Ray drive. Your Xbox One disc games will work on this system.
