    Quick disclaimer: I've tried 2 different tvs and a monitor, headphones connected to the controller, every possible audio setting, restarted console several times, reseted the OS (system - console info - reset) per microsoft support request but nothing helped.

    Audio crackling, popping, static when opening dashboard applications, the sound seems okay if I click on options within the application itself, for instance, when opening "settings" there is almost surely going to be a ton of crackling however if I navigate the options within settings the sound will be okay, I've watched a few series x reviews/dashboard overviews I definitely noticed even youtubers seem to have this problem even if they dont notice it themselves its definitely there, my console seems to be particularly bad though.

    I've noticed a lot of crackling when quick resuming Anthem and some crackling on final fantasy 15 in game menus and randomly when luna's dog barks, this one time when walking through the grass the shuffling sound of your clothes hitting the grass had a lot of static it only went away after I rested on camp Those two issues might be unrelated, I'm not sure to be honest

    Guess that update didn't work. I just got a Series X about 2 weeks ago. There are often audio crackles, pops, or static while navigating the dashboard. I can't believe this hasn't been fixed yet. My first Xbox since 360, and this is what I get😡. Microsoft, fix this problem!

    Yep, same problem here. I've been playing Destiny 2 and I never hear any static while playing but as soon as I go to the dashboard I hear awful static, crackling, popping ect. Both through my headset and my TV speakers.

    I don't know about you guys, but the newest dashboard update seems to have solved the issue regarding the popping and crackling within the dashboard (at least for me). I didn't have enough time to test my XO thoroughly, so I don't know if that random crakling
    and popping within games is gone as well, but at least the dashboard is fine (and I hope it stays that way).
    Unfortunately, audio still randomly pops and cracks in games. It doesn't seem to happen that frequently as it did before, but the problem is still present even after the fall dashboard update. The crackling within the dashboard is fixed though.

    Audio crackles and pops

    I have been having a similar problem with audio pops and crackles.

    When I have my Xbox One connected to my TV with an HDMI cable and my surround sound receiver plugged into my TVs optical out port the audio pops and crackles (only from the Xbox One, not from any other audio source going into my TV and out to the receiver.)
    Yet if I plug my receiver directly into the Xbox's optical port the audio plays normally with no distortion whatsoever. I even tried replacing the HDMI cord but got no results that had no popping or crackling in the audio. Hence leading me to believe that
    the HDMI port on the Xbox one is having trouble sending audio to the TV through its HDMI cord as I even tested each of my 4 HDMI in ports on my gaming TV and my living room TV that achieved the same exact popping and crackling audio issues.
