Xbox Series X Cross platform settings not working

I am having problems with the crossplay settings on xbox. I turn it off for certain games at times and have never had a problem turning it on or off until now. Currently, my account is acting like my cross play settings are permanently turned off when they are clearly turned on. I have changed the settings on my xbox, I went into my microsoft account on PC and checked my crossplay settings as well and they are turned on, however games such as Destiny 2 and MLB the Show 22 show that my crossplay settings are turned off. I have tried resetting my xbox's cache and tried turning the crossplay settings on and off while restarting each game and nothing works. Like I said, I've never had a problem with changing the crossplay settings before. I have went through every troubleshooting step out there and it still is not working.

I have also had this same issue recently on xbox one. Very annoying that it hasn't been fixed.

your not alone. I just talked to microsoft support. lady was nice but not technically inclined regarding xbox. She did say they've been receiving alot of calls about crossplay getting stuck in the off position. Neither console or web changes it either. I've done every troubleshoot method possible all the way to a complete out of the box reset. Redownloading everything now. ooof there goes my sunday. ugh.

Unfortunately, Trailmakers is not cross-platform play between Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5. The game currently only supports cross-platform play between Xbox One and Xbox Series friend on PS5 if you are playing on Xbox Series

Hello NickKatsi, if you are on a Series S/X console try turning off crossplay by following the steps below.

Turn Off.

To disable crossplay on your Xbox Series X or S, follow these steps:

1-Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide.

2-Select Settings.

-3Select General.

4-Select Cross-Platform and Online Play.

5-Select the toggle next to Enable Cross-Platform Play to turn it off.

We have you played with the same user on another game (F1) and it works fine but Fortnite will bring up this error message (cross platform is not supported for Xbox series s/x. If we try and play Xbox one to Xbox one it works fine

So if you send a game request from a Xbox one to someone that has an Xbox series s/x, it just says it’s unsupported
