    Xbox Series X crashing with certain games?


    Hello,

    I've recently bought a refurbished Xbox Series X from the Microsoft store and have been experiencing crashing issues with some games. Games like Halo Infinite, Destiny 2, No Man's Sky, and Deep Rock Galactic will crash after a few minutes of play- either crashing to the dashboard or crashing the Xbox all together. I do have poor internet, so that may be the root of the problem, but I am able to play Diablo IV and Halo MCC online just fine. Furthermore, I was able to play said games on my Xbox One S without many problems. Also, I played Doom Eternal via cloud and it was fine as well.

    I have tried everything from signing out, to uninstalling and re-installing the games, checking for updates, clearing the save data, becoming a part of Xbox Insider for early updates, and factory-resetting my console. I would rather not have to send my xbox in to get serviced, but frankly I don't know what else I should do.

    Xbox Series X keeps crashing while playing games?

    It's only certain games. The games that crash are "The Finals", "Fortnite", "Rainbow 6 Siege", "Path of Exile" to name a few. Other games such as "Balatro" and "Warframe" do not crash. I have even bought a small fan to place on top of the Series X to help with airflow but the crashes still happen.

    Hello Brandon, I would like to let you know the offline update is used to discard possible software issues.
    As this process didn’t work for you, I strongly recommend sending your console to Microsoft for an inspection and possible repair.

    So I did that and I even moved my console to what I thought would be a cooler, emptier space. To test it, I launched Destiny 2 and just played for a bit to see if it crashed. After 10-15 minutes of play, it hard crashed and gave me a white screen. To be honest, I think it is more of a software issue than it is hardware, but I am not sure.

    Before consider sending your Xbox in to get serviced, you can opt to perform an offline update on it.

    Before doing this process, please make sure to remove your console from the Xbox Insider program, and go back to a stable version of the Xbox firmware.

    Hey, bud. Don't even bother listening to her you're not the only one, as I've seen multiple people on Twitter and Reddit about games crashing ever since the new update for this month, don't both sending in your console to a repair, it's a software issue.
