    Xbox Series X crashing randomly and FPS issues on Call of Duty: Cold War


    So I've had my series x since release and have encountered a few issues but the games crashing are the worst I've experienced. It only happens with series X optimized games. And it it 90% of the time happening when I have the Xbox side dashboard open.

    Another problem I've had, which means I have to constantly quit and restart my game is on Black Ops Cold War. Almost every day, the game starts with around 15 FPS and is nearly unplayable due to screen tears and lagging. I have to restart my game multiple times until it starts with my characters walking into the multiplayer lobby very smoothly. Again the game goes back to 15FPS and starts to screen tear when I open the Xbox side dashboard. on a side note, the game quality is roughly what you expect from a 480P video on YouTube.

    Maybe these problems are linked?

    I haven't found any where else online about the screen tearing and 15fps. Is anyone else having these issues? have you found a fix?

    Are Microsoft aware of the issues? and is there a fix on the way?

    I am literally at my wits end.

    I just want to grind Dark Matter Ultra on cold war multiplayer!

    Not necessarily fifa 21 xbox one version crashes and turns mine off so does fortnite

    Hi!

    Maybe you have the Xbox One version of COD Cold War and you see that message because the Xbox One version cannot be upgraded to Xbox Series X. You can find more informations about COD Cold War editions here:

    Call of Duty Black ops Upgrade to X/S

    From what I can tell, to access the Series X version of the game, you need the Cross-Gen bundle...once you buy that, you should then be able to download and install the Series X version. Without the cross-gen bundle it will, presumably, just install the XB1 version

    From the Store page:

    "For digital owners of the Call of Duty®: Black Ops Cold War Standard Edition, this upgrade will unlock the Call of Duty®: Black Ops Cold War Cross-Gen Bundle, giving access to the Xbox Series X|S version of the game. After upgrade purchase, search in the Xbox store for the Call of Duty®: Black Ops Cold War - Cross-Gen Bundle to install the Xbox Series X|S version of the game."
