Xbox Series X Crashes after launching BF4, COD etc

My Son's Xbox Series X wouldnt turn on a while back so we sent it in got it back and works again turns on etc

BUT now like games Cod, BF4 , etc when he launchs the game the xbox sits for like 10 secs and then turns off and wont turn back on till i turn it back on before sending the xbox in these games worked just fine and they like 80% of the games he likes to play he cant

ive tried fac. resetting without games etc but didnt do anything...

Please access Settings > Network Settings > Advanced Settings > Alternate Mac Address > Clear it and the console should restart. It would definitely help if you could restart the internet router while the console is restarting.

After going through the troubleshooting steps mentioned, I invite you to perform a quick power cycle by turning off the console and then unplugging all the cables. After 2 to 3 minutes, re-plug them back again, then restart your console.

Like the title says, Is the Xbox X|S unstable like the PS5 was at launch, or is it stable? When the Xbox X|S first launched, I heard stuff about it crashing, bricking, etc. I was wanting to know, so I know whether to get it now, or wait.

Hello, I have had my Xbox series x since Christmas my console has been fine no crashing i would recommend you get one if you haven't already. Also issues that have been happening with series x/s Microsoft are working on them but mostly the issues are on the units that were on sale on the launch date.

Did you ever find a fix for this? I’m also on Series X. Halo crashes routinely both during campaign and multiplayer, but I’m able to play other games (assassins creed, mlb the show, CoD vanguard, etc) with zero issues. Super frustrating

Halo infinite was hard crashing a lot for me at launch but then seemed to work perfectly through December and now after the most recent update I’m back to crashing almost every game. The game even crashes in the main menu sometimes. Half the time it crashes to Xbox dashboard half the time it shuts the whole Xbox off. I’m on a series x. I’ve done all the troubleshooting tips. This game is broken.

I don't believe this is a hardware issue. If it is, they need to tell us specifically what is happening that makes our Xbox faulty on only one game. Never heard of that before. Why does every other game work fine with no crashing? Only the Xbox Series X/S version of BF2042 is crashing for ppl on the Series X/S after going through all of the troubleshooting steps, different controllers (someone suggested elite series 2 is a possible cause) etc. Is EA going to address this issue or can we get a more specific technical explanation?
