  1. XBOX Series X controller won't remove from bluetooth devices and won't connect to windows 10

    Hi,

I have a series X controller that was working fine with windows 10 (Forza horizon 5 edition). I connected it to my phone for about 1 hour and the connecting it back is impossible and I cannot remove it either, so the controller is not connecting to neither phone or pc.

Please help... this should be something common to happen. There are a lot of users asking for help on the same problem and little answers

    :)

Hello, first it's a pleasure to be able to help you today.

My name is welcome to the community.

Hello BossuetEsquinca, in case you can not remove it from your phone, do not know what would be your phone, Android or IOS, but they all have an option to remove Bluetooth that have already been synced, is usually where it shows the name of the device.

You can also do this as follows, turn off bluetooth from your phone, connect the cable controller to your PC, update your Xbox Accessories App, and then try pairing it via Bluetooth.

Xbox one S serie controller and xbox one V3 wireless PC dongle

    Hi,

The Series S and X controllers work on same devices the earlier controller can connect to. This includes:

Xbox One Game receiver for Windows 10

    Bluetooth (PC, Android, iOS)

Xbox One, One S, X and Series X/S.

Wired Controller not recognized by Xbox Cloud Gaming

I am using a PDP Wired Controller designed for Series X, Xbox Onez and Windows 10/11.

I have not tried cloud gaming with this controller on a different device as I would have no way to connect the controller and device (it is not Bluetooth enabled).

Adapter Xbox 360 for PC and new controller.

    Hi,

    I’m Killing Skids

The Answer Is Yes as Long As it has Bluetooth or wireless connection
    Hi,

That's not quite right. Apologies for quoting you.

The Xbox 360 controller uses a proprietary wireless technology, it's not Bluetooth and the old adaptors won't work with a modern controller like the Xbox One or Series X|S controllers.

Unlike Xbox 360 wireless controllers, Xbox One and Series controllers can also be connected via USB cable. Old Xbox One controllers use Micro USB, Series Controllers are USB C.

To use an Xbox One/ Series controller via wireless on a PC and get basic functionality, all you need to do is connect the controller via Bluetooth. If your PC doesn't have Bluetooth then you'll need to buy a Bluetooth USB dongle, they're very cheap, less than $10. I'm from the UK and I connect my Series X controller to my PC via BT dongle I purchased from Amazon for about £5.

For extra wireless features you'll need the Xbox One Wireless Adaptor for Windows 10. Unfortunately, the official Microsoft branded adaptors are now quite rare.

An update to Xbox Controller (has the 3.5mm port) on Xbox One via Xbox Accessories has effected it's bluetooth capabilities on PC

    3. After that repair controller via Bluetooth
Gonna need a more detailed explanation on that one. Bluetooth troubleshoot showed nothing.

    1) Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & Other Devices

Find Xbox Wireless Controller and Remove Device.

    2) Windows Search > Device Manager > View > Show Hidden Devices

Find "Human Interface Devices" and uninstall the HID-compliant game controller.

*Important to "Show hidden" or you won't find it as the device is disconnected*
'HID-compliant game controller' completely vanishes when you select 'Remove Device' from the Bluetooth & Other Devices menu. It's only there when it's connected.

EDIT: So I uninstalled the HID-compliant game controller before removing the device from the bluetooth menu, connected aaand it's still the '6 axis 16 button gamepad with hat switch'. No change.
