Xbox Series X controller randomly disconnects for a moment

Sorry to hear about your experience. I just want to make sure if you've already tried the solutions from the link below like changing batteries and making sure they're fully charged, power cycling the controller, and trying a USB cable if the issue is present when hard-wired?

On the other hand, if the issue is coming from your console, we could perform a factory reset to remove potentially corrupted data in your console. There's an option to keep your games and apps. Before doing that, make sure that there are no objects or any wireless devices near your console or controller that could interfere their signals.

Have you tried using it wired? Take the batteries out of it and hook it up to the console with a USB cable, then see if it still sometimes disconnects while you're gaming.

If it does still disconnect when being used wired, if you have a friend with an Xbox, see if they'll lend you a controller, then try that both wired and wirelessly to see if it still happens.

It if only disconnects when being used wirelessly, it could be a faulty Wi-Fi card inside the console, but again, getting hold of another controller to do a test would be a good idea, just in case it's the controller itself.

Also, has anything changed about your setup that aligned with this issue starting? E.g. have you moved any of your equipment, or got a new router or anything like that? Sometimes interference can cause issues, but it can be hard to troubleshoot.

I have the same issue with Series X using mouse and keyboard for Call of Duty Vanguard.

I played during the beta and there was no problems with the controller disconnecting but as soon as the game released, the controller disconnects,

I've tried a Xbox One controller Series X controller, with batteries and a USB cable, and the controllers still disconnects.

It's worth a shot though but to best isolate the issue, have you tried any other controller? I asked because if it happens to other controller, I'm afraid the console needs a service.
