    Xbox Series X controller dosen't reconnect after battery dies


    Has anybody experienced this? Before i get started yes all firmwares are up to date, I'm having a problem with the new series x controller not reconnecting to the Xbox Series X after the battery dies mid game. I've tried the sync button and connecting to the console via usb/usb-c the only way i can reconnect is if i hard reset the console. This is really frustrating when you're online and have to hard reset your console mid game leaving the squad one man down.

    I have a similar problem. It started happening after the headset firmware update. My sound quality is good. My problem is it will randomly say that my controller died or disconnected on the screen but the controller will still be on. I have to take out the
    batteries to turn off the controller. The controller reconnects after I put the batteries back in and turn it back on. I change the batteries thinking that was the problem. But even with fresh new batteries it still does it. I see sharks & nobles posts and
    I hope it can all be fixed with the next firmware update. Hope its sooner then later.

    The Series X controllers available now uses the same official battery packs as the Xbox One and Series S controllers.

    No one knows if the battery will fit the new controller. I would have thought it would. After all, you can play the new controller on the Xbox One and the Series X/S, as you can with the old controller too. So it would be daft not to use the battery from
    the old Xbox One controller.
