    Xbox Series X controller disconnects during gameplay


    I've been encountering an issue where my Xbox Series X controller disconnects randomly during gameplay, and it's quite frustrating. The controller is fully charged, and I've ensured no physical obstructions or wireless interference in the room. I have also updated the controller firmware and restarted both the console and the controller, but the problem persists. Has anyone else experienced this issue, and are there any solutions that worked for you? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Vanguard Controller issue ...

    Connecting the controller with a USB cable doesn't work,

    Controller still disconnects even with a USB cable connected,

    I have the same issue with Series X using mouse and keyboard for Call of Duty Vanguard.

    I played during the beta and there was no problems with the controller disconnecting but as soon as the game released, the controller disconnects,

    I've tried a Xbox One controller Series X controller, with batteries and a USB cable, and the controllers still disconnects.

    Thank you for posting in Microsoft Xbox Community. I'm sorry to hear that you're having issues with your Xbox controller. You mentioned that it disconnects during gameplay. Does this happen when connected directly via USB or just with wireless?

    I would suggest that you try connecting it via USB cable and see if you would encounter the same issue. In addition, do you have other device such as PC where you could connect your controller to test and compare?

Does this happen whenever you're connected through USB cable or just when connected wirelessly through Bluetooth? Do you have a different controller to test and compare so we can see if the issue is coming from your console or directly from the controller?

    As part of our initial troubleshooting, please power cycle your controller: Press and hold the Xbox button for 5-10 seconds until the controller turns off. Wait a few seconds, and then press and hold the Xbox button again to turn the controller back on.
