XBox Series X Controller Dinput Support

I want to ask you how well is DirectInput supported on new XBox Series X/S controller. I read about some problems causing games not recognized Controller as proper XInput or DInput device. And I know that is older standard, but soetimes I like to play some older games.

So now I need new gamepad for PC and I wonder me if:

    1) old DInput is still supported?

    2) DInput can work wireless over Bluetooth or with dongle?

    3) any kind of vibration is supported with DInput?

    4) did Microsoft fixed old problem, when both triggers acting as one axis in DInput mode?

Maybe is weird that I'm concentrated so much on legacy stuff, but in fact a want to buy controller mostly for newer games. But Microsoft website gives me enaugh information what i supposed to espect from XInput mode. Sadly cannot find nothing about DInput, so I will be thankful for help guys.

    :)

XBox Series X Controller Dinput Support

i have one and it does work with the games i have played on steam, epic, and all the other stores.

but i have gone back to my wired controller which is power A advanced, works better and less heavy. i mix it up with series controller, pdp and power a and find the microsoft controllers are made on the cheap.

how to change a controller driver on pc?

    Hi,

These are knock off PlayStation looking controllers which more than likely don't support the Microsoft XINPUT protocal.

There's no driver to change here as Windows will just see them generic Dinput controllers.

If you want less issues, buy a controller that fully Supports XINPUT.

Can a Xbox X controller connect to a 360 Xbox

Xbox One, Xbox One S, and Xbox One X controllers work on Xbox Series X|S, and vice versa. However, Xbox 360 is on it's own, similar to the OG Xbox.

What's cool however is if you remote stream Xbox One, One S, One X, Series S, or Series X on, say, a PC, you can plug in a 360 controller and use it on the newer generation.

But no, newer controllers aren't supported on 360.
