    Xbox Series X controller constantly disconnects after 5-10 mins of gaming.


    I have an Xbox Series X controller I bought for my Windows 10 Gaming PC last week. It ended up disconnecting constantly, regardless of whatever game I was playing kept on disconnecting every 5-10 mins, even 3 mins!

    I went to Microsoft's website to request a replacement since that is the only option I can do to get support on the controller, I have checked about 4 times on my controller to make sure I punched in the serial number correctly when it keeps giving me an
    error that the serial number wasn't found. Again, I got this controller last week.

    Phone and Text support isn't available for my issue, I have tried to go through a support bot but it kept telling to reconnect my controller which didn't work. I have tried to update it again, already at the latest update on Windows and my controller.

    Does someone have a solution for my problem? If you do have a solution, let me know and I will respond back to let you know if the solution worked or not.

    Ah, yes I also tried power managing. It seems that it slightly reduce the frequency of disconnecting, like once per 5 min instead of once per 3 min typically, but it may be also coincidence, as the disconnecting is very irregular. So far I'm unable to solve it, and as we can see here, MS support doesn't care at all. They can't make their own controller compatible with Windows 10.

    I updated Windows to version 21H1 - still the same bug. Any new suggestions how to fix it?

    Yeah, the behavior is very weird, I tested it with my phone and worked fine.

    I'm using an Asus BT500 adapter (not built-in), but that dosen't seem to be the issue either. And I only connect my Xbox Controller to it, that's why I bought it

    As I said, I tested to see if the adapter is the issue, by connecting a PS4 Controller, and BT headphones at the same time with the Xbox Controller.

    And played Forza that way, since that's what I play the most with the controller and I get disconnects. And while playing the game with the PS4 controller, and listening through the headphones, I could see the Xbox controller getting disconnects, while the others were fine.

    When I'm using the Xbox Controller, I get the first disconnect within 5 mins, and after that every 10-15 mins

    XBOX one controller won't connect. I've tried everything.

    Because the NXE Update? I have also the Halo 5 Xbox One and the issue with random disconnects starts after the NXE Update on Nov 12. My old controller is working, my new halo controller isn't (disconnected every 30-45 min)

    Controller still disconnects even with a USB cable connected,

    I have the same issue with Series X using mouse and keyboard for Call of Duty Vanguard.

    I played during the beta and there was no problems with the controller disconnecting but as soon as the game released, the controller disconnects,

    I've tried a Xbox One controller Series X controller, with batteries and a USB cable, and the controllers still disconnects.

    Are there any solutions to this issue yet? It seems that after the July update, and controller firmware update, I've started having this issue. The controller will constantly disconnect after 15-20 mins without fail. I've been fine until the last updates.
    It's getting ridiculous after a month or so of this issue.

    Any solutions yet?
