XBox Series X Controller Android 6 Compatibility. Disabling Dynamic Latency Input?

The new XBox Series X "Core" controllers seem to have an issue on Android 6, even though Android 6 is listed as a supported platform. The device pairs fine via bluetooth, and at first seems to work, however after testing the inputs, I've found that the polling
rate of input is very low, about 10-15hz, making it unusable for games. The specific device is the Retroid Pocket 2.

I suspect that it is an issue with the Dynamic Latency Input feature being incompatible with Android 6. I've tested it on devices with Android 9 and Android 11 and the polling rate seems fine.

I don't suppose theres any way to disable the Dynamic Latency Input feature to make it behave the same as previous generations of bluetooth compatible controllers? It would be nice if the ability to do this was available in the XBox Accessories app, something
like "Enable Legacy Compatibility Mode" or something.

If the cause of this issue is that the controller is trying to interface with a host that is incompatible with Dynamic Latency Input, or the negotiated send rate ends up being extremely slow (like 15hz), the controller should detect that and send updates
at whatever was the standard rate for previous generation controllers.

    :)

Can the xbox series X/S and elite series polling rate be unlocked via software update? Can you guys make it possible?

Hello Elite S, I am an independent advisor and I will be happy to help you today. My name is Khaji!

Yes, it is possible to unlock the sound speed of Xbox Series X/S and Elite Series controllers through a software update. The update brings dynamic latency input to these older controllers, meaning it will send input data when it detects it in as little as 2ms when used with an Xbox Series console, rather than polling and transmitting at a fixed interval. 8ms

However, the ability to modify Software or Hardware is not within my capabilities.

Dynamic Latency and the Elite Series 2 controller

    Hello dustysul,

As far as I know from articles I read, Dynamic Latency will be for the new controllers of Series X.

And for the second question, 0 changes I think.

    Xbox Series X Controller Compatibility

    Hi!

Of course, the pad will be compatible with Series X, as specified in the
    glossary
    .

One of the first points to reduce latency is within the communication between your controller and your console. By bringing our existing high-bandwidth, low-latency wireless protocol on the Xbox One family of devices to Xbox Series X, we’re able to not
only reduce latency in your gaming experience but also ensure all of your existing Xbox One gaming accessories will be compatible with Xbox Series X.

    Xbox Series X controller

The Xbox Series X|S controller does not replace your mobile device’s touchscreen controls; instead, it acts as a separate Bluetooth input source for games that are compatible with the controller.

(This means that not being able to control your device with a controller was intentional. It only works in-game.)

The Series S and X controllers work on same devices the earlier controller can connect to. This includes:

Xbox One Game receiver for Windows 10

    Bluetooth (PC, Android, iOS)

Xbox One, One S, X and Series X/S.
