Xbox series X - Console issue

Im currently experiencing an issue with the xbox (series x) and it's literally game breaking and making my console unusable.

Firstly I can't log the issues on the xbox as the app to raise the issue wont launch:

▪︎Games wont launch

▪︎Apps wont launch

▪︎Restarting the console from the option under power causes it to freeze up on a black screen and never budges (I've left this over night)

▪︎Settings wont launch.

The only way around is hard reset/ power cycle (hold power button) and even then that comes with further problems:

▪︎Controller loses all knowledge of the console so I begin the sync process, button press on controller (controller flashes) button press on console and nothing!

5 minutes goes by then the console allows me to then press the button on the console and begin sync.

▪︎Any external HDD becomes unrecognisable so I must unplug these and re-plug them back in for it to pick them up.

Note: my series x is not in any alpha or beta ring, just the standard updates.

After the above steps my console works until the following day so it seems like an issue when in idle mode.

Anyone else with the same issue or any thoughts?
