Xbox Series X connection to older AVR’s

So given the recent HDMI 2.1 chip issues what will be the reccomended way to hook up a Series X and S to an older AVR now that there is no Optical Port. If we direct connect via HDMI 2.1 to the TV will there be a way to use a dongle to convert one of
the other HDMI’s to an optical and connect to the AVR that way? Thoughts on how this could be done? Would really love microsoft to comment on this so all of us with really good audio setups will have some guidance.

Well you csn do it the proper way

All hdmi to your tv then audio out via optical from your tv to your receiver

This preventa lag and runing 4-8 cables from.each device to your receiver

well the xbox series x has one HDMI port, so you would need to either upgrade your audio kit, connect tv via optical if supported or by a hdmi to hdmi/optical splitter which would then not pass through any hdmi 2.1 features.

I have the same problem 2 weeks now in my series X. Dolby Atmos indicator is not displayed on Denon (AVR-X1700H) AVR while watching Netflix. AVR shows PCM input for a reason. In games and Disney plus, Prime video apps is working fine.
