    Xbox Series X chimes and lights up, then shuts off immediately


    If I try to turn it on it lights up and makes the noise but the system shuts off immediately after a half second of being on. I tried unplugging everything, moving to different outlets, etc but nothing is helping.

    Disconnect any external usb disc drives before turning the console on.

    Check this support page, Console won't power on for more info about resetting power supply.

    Xbox turns on for 1 second then immediately turns off.

    I'm having the same issue. I get a solid orange light on the power supply, but the unit won't stay on. I get the power up chime then it shuts off. I'm afraid to buy a new brick just to find out that's not the problem.
