Xbox Series X chimes and lights up, then shuts off immediately

It's unfortunate to know you're having some trouble when trying to power on your Xbox Series X.

I know bad news is never welcomed, and you're frustrated, but based on your post description and the troubleshooting steps you performed, now your console needs to be inspected and repaired.

Disconnect any external usb disc drives before turning the console on.

I'm having the same issue. I get a solid orange light on the power supply, but the unit won't stay on. I get the power up chime then it shuts off. I'm afraid to buy a new brick just to find out that's not the problem.

The orange light is not blinking and i hear the power off chime as it self powers off in seconds even durring boot up

No warning messages just shuts off on its own only thing it does is the Chime it would make when u shut it off by pressing the power button itl be workin fine then I’ll hear the chime an then it shuts off I’ve tried jus about everything I’m not sure what it could be
