    XBOX Series X changing application black screen problem


    Basically the problem is, when playing a game for sometime like for example an hour or two, and then going back to the home screen, the XBOX series X would just stay stuck on a black screen.

    The console is fine, no jet engine noises. But the monitor/tv/screen is stuck on a black screen. The only thing that fixes this is by going to the console and holding it for 10 seconds, which just forces it to turn off.

    So the catch it, sometimes I want to stream on Twitch right and I try to switch to twitch to start broadcasting, and go back it's all fine and dandy, but ending the session on twitch application after a while is the problem. Due to the said problem the black screen issue, it is annoying to manually restart the console and constant manual restarting might end up corrupting data in the long run.

    Raising awareness for this problem.

    AC is on 18 degrees whenever I play in the small playroom and don't worry the room is well ventilated.
    I bought it around the end of May so it's kind of brand new. If there is a new update right now then I shall update it again.
    I hope this gets remedied with the update. Have not touched the Xbox for a while nw.

    How warm is it in the room the console is located

    Usually that suggests a crash but the recent updates were supposed to fix that

    I have the same problem. It's happened quite a few times.

    Series X and Lg CX.

    Watching Netflix, the screen goes black. I still see the Netflix interface and if I back out of the video, I get back to the Netflix selection screen. Pressing the home button takes me back to the Xbox dash board. Going back into the video, it plays for 2 seconds, and then black screen again. At first I thought it was Dolby Vision, so I disabled that, and still black screen. Changed it from 120hz to 60hz, black screen. I ended up closing the Netflix app from the Xbox Dashboard and it seems to be working fine now.

    I'm pretty tech savvy, so I can troubleshoot, but for someone that isn't, this is horrible. Especially after paying money for this thing. It should just "work"

    Xbox is on but no screen on the tv

    i had the same problem with the black screen and now it keeps crashing... even when i do the offline update it crashes..The funny thing about this problem is that it all started after the 2year guarantee ended about 2 weeks later. 500Euros for the best
    console (Xbox X) my ****.... i´m not sure if it is worth buying the New X Series
