    Xbox series X can’t connect to DHCP servers.


    I’ve been having this issue for almost a week now, I have tried everything, setting a static IP address, restarting my router and modem, resetting network settings, hard resetting both the console and modem, but still nothing. However I can connect to my hotspot without any issues. I am unable to connect an Ethernet cable to it and I’m tired of using a hotspot for this. I can’t seem to get in touch with anyone at support, and there’s no forums that have gone in depth into this the way my issue has. Wondering if this has happened to anyone else. If so how’d you fix it?

    This actually didn’t work either. While trying these tips, I kept getting “Can’t get an IP address” (even though it had) and “Can’t connect to a DHCP server”

    I assume you mean the "TDS Actiontec T3200" Router?

    Can you check in the advanced settings of your T3200 Router, if Bridging Mode is enabled (which it should not)?

    Hey MindRiot,

    Came across your post and having the same issue. Got past DHCP, but now intermittently can't login. xBox is getting an IP from DHCP fine but fails network test.

    works on every other network device, was starting to wonder if the xbox is faulty.

    Try the MAC address reset on the xbox for the DHCP problem.

    also following the port forwarding guide to assist with the network test timeout (i don't allow upnp on my networks)
