Xbox Series X buzzing/clicking noise

My console always had coil whine, but that's not what I'm talking about. My Series X as of recently started making a hard drive like clicking sound, but only when idle and I'm on the home screen. And soon as I start a game, the noise completely stops. My Series X always made a low electrical buzzing sound when games were running and still does. With that being said, that's not what I'm concerned about, it's a clicking like sound that constantly continues until I launch a game and then it stops and the normal coil whine kicks in depending on the game.

What do you mean by "buzzing sound"?

Is it a buzzing noise coming from your laptop's cooling fans (or other components)? Or is it a buzzing noise from the Xbox gameplay stream?

Mine makes sort of a buzzing sound as well.

My friends also makes a noise but it's less noticeable although that could be the acoustics in the room.

I think it's probably normal. It's just that if you keep your xbox in your bedroom you will have to put up with the noise while trying to sleep.

If it gets on your nerves you can just switch the console to energy saving mode which will switch off the fans when the console is shut down.

Yeah mines not so noticeable because I have it in my lounge room. I did set mine to energy saving mode because I don't trust it when I'm sleeping or when I go out

What kind of "weird noises" are? Is that whistle, or is it buzzing? If its just buzzing, propably your xbox is reading the gmae disk.
