Xbox Series x Bluray app won’t install

To fix this, please perform a power cycle on your console by following the steps below:

POWERCYCLE CONSOLE​​​

1. Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off. ​​​

2. Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the Xbox button on your controller. ​​​

If that didn't work resetting the console keeping games and apps will be the next option. Don't worry because as long as you're connected to Xbox Live your saved progress, games, will not be deleted. It will remove all of your accounts but you can add all of them later on.

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.

Select Reset console.

Reset and keep my games & apps.

I do know about the gaming part. I was asking the question if the Xbox Series X could have the Dolby Vision added into the BluRay app so, that 4K BluRay movies can enjoy Dolby Vision as well.

Try ejecting the disk, cancel any install in progress, then initiate the install remotely from the Xbox app on your phone. This seems to be working for me. Here's where I found this suggestion:

I used to use the app multiple times daily until I upgraded to the series x. When I chose a game to install remotely on the Game Pass app my Series X never shows up in the list. Same thing with remote play, even though i have gone through everything I need to to set it up and make it discoverable it still won’t connect.

The cost is there for a reason

Any bluray external drive would.be more then 200 bucks as its a faster then normal drive

Also you have gpu and cpu differences

And there is a reason why there is no feature to use an external drive and its the biggest reason why it cant be done

The s series uses a 512gig drive so your space is restricted to 1.5gigs max even with the decompression chip

There isnt much room to install bluray install files and installation

This is by design

When the xbox servers see your console it will give you a less sizable installation due to lack X features to decrease the size significantly

And yes thats the difference
