    If a Blu-ray is region free, would that mean it would work on the Xbox series X? I know that the system won’t normally play different regions of Blu-ray’s since that part is locked but if it’s region free, does that mean it’s good to go? I wanted to buy some Godzilla Blu-ray’s but they say it is region free so I wanted to make sure first. Thanks again for any help!

    it can, it may have region locks for your area but yes the xbox one can play cd, dvd, blu-ray, and if you have the x/s 4k blu ray

    Xbox Region free for games only. They mean the disk is not locked to one region code, and therefore will work on any player

    It is a violation of the Blu-ray and DVD license to make a region free player that ignores those restrictions . Any players you see making this claim has been modified by third parties

    4K discs are region free.

    I would be very suspicious that region free Godzilla movies are bootlegs. 20 years of working with Japanese entertainment media has taught me exactly how much they hold on to regions. I just checked and the current Blu-ray sets are all region locked

    Region-free Blu-ray discs and DVDs will play on any Xbox console.

    Note Game discs for the Xbox console are not coded to regions

    Thanks for the response. I checked with the site who were selling the 2 Godzilla movies I was looking for (Godzilla Vs King Ghidorah and Godzilla Vs Mothra from 91 and 92) and both say region free BD-R discs. I found them on ecrater.com so wanted to make sure first.
