Xbox Series X - Blinking Light on Console

Just white usually a game will crash, light blinks series x games seem to struggle to play. And sometimes they'll freeze and shut the console down. No error messages though

If your Xbox Series X controller blinks twice, it usually means that the batteries are low or the connection with the console has been lost. Here's what you can try:

1. Replace the batteries: If the batteries are low, the controller will blink twice repeatedly. Try replacing the batteries with fresh ones and see if it solves the problem.

2. Re-sync the controller: To re-sync the controller with the console, press and hold the pairing button on the console until the light starts flashing. Then, press and hold the pairing button on the controller until the light on the controller begins to blink rapidly. Wait a few seconds for the controller to connect.

3. Check for interference: Certain wireless devices or objects may interfere with the controller's signal. Make sure there aren't any devices or obstacles blocking the signal between the controller and the console.

The One X or Series X? Either way, there's not a green light. The only light on the console is the power button which should be white.

There are two different scenarios: if you can access the console or if you can't. In the first case, you could try resetting your console. However, before that, you can proceed with a full restart cycle.

To do this.

Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for at least 10 seconds.
Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the Xbox button on your controller.

If the situation doesn't change, you can proceed with resetting the console.

Press the Xbox button to open the Guide.
Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.
Select Reset console.

You can choose between resetting and removing everything or resetting and keeping games and apps. I suggest starting with the second option first, and then perform the reset and remove everything only if the issue is not resolved by keeping games and apps.

It's important you know that "Reset and remove everything" restores the console to factory default settings. All user data, including accounts, saved games, settings, home Xbox associations, and all games and apps, will be deleted.

In case you don't have access to the console, aside from performing a full restart, I'm not aware of procedures to reset the console. I recommend, in this case, or if you have access but even a total reset doesn't solve the problem, to contact official support and open a support ticket.
