Xbox Series X Black Flicker/Overly Dark

    Xbox Series X Black Flicker/Overly Dark


    Occasionally when I boot up my series x the picture is too dark (as if the contrast was too high) and normally when I restart the xbox it changes back to normal on reboot.

    I'm also getting a lot of heavy black flickering when this happens which makes gaming impossible.

    Today when I tried to fix it the colour wouldn't fix and all games were flickering blackXbox Series X Black Flicker/Overly Dark :( is there a fix for this yet?

    You talk about going black but have flickering on Topic.

    There was an official Problem with HDR Flickering on that TVs and Xbox but that should be fixed a time ago
    The screen flickers when HDR or HDMI ULTRA HD Deep Colour is on in the TV, after a while of flickering it goes black, then the TV loses the signal from the Xbox. That's
    my problem.

    If I deactivate HDMI ULTRA HD Deep Colour, then there's no more flickering and no more black screen.

    Well it isn't fixed yet, I'm 100% sure I am on the latest firmware on both the LG C9 and the Xbox One X.

    Hdr washed out colors and dimmer during hdr content

    I'm also having this issue. My TV is a Sony XBR75X850D. When playing back video is also flickers on dark scenes and looks like the black levels are way too "hot" almost gray.

    Hey, having the same problem here. Using Xbox One X. It was working fine for a year and recently started flickering. I have bought a new 4k tv and it's even worse. I bought a new high speed HDMI cable: new set of issues - complete black screen or it flickers
    heavily. Went to test the XBOX on a 3rd tv and it flickers as well. I'd appreciate some help.

    not sure if the flickering is the same. But i have a sony 4k with HDR and when ever i am playing games i will get flickering., The screen does no flicker as in a HDMI problem as in turning on and off. It's more like the color flickering from dark to light
    really fast. But If I turn off 4k on the Xbox it will correct the problem.
