Xbox Series X billing glitch with Discover credit cards (only on console itself, not at...

This month I "won the lottery" with obtaining an Xbox Series X, and purchased some items. I was then spammed by my Discover card with with Fraud alerts for my valid charges - It was finally realized that Microsoft Xbox itself has a billing problem (or perhaps my personal account is glitched but I find that doubtful):

Every single thing I purchase as a 1-TIME item with Discover card on my Xbox console itself is showing as RECURRING (Subscriptions), in my Discover card's "Recurring Merchant Dashboard" in error.

Discover card support confirmed that ALL of my Xbox Console purchases are being sent to Discover card BY MICROSOFT as Recurring/Subscription type charges (instead of 1-time type charges).

Xbox support confirmed that ALL of my Xbox Console purchases of concern are showing on the Microsoft billing system as 1-TIME charges, which does NOT MATCH what is being transmitted to Discover card.

This mis-match of type of billing type, causes the Discover card anti-fraud system, to flag Microsoft Xbox as potentially-fraudulent, because normally people only sign up for a subscription to something every so often - maybe one new subscription a week at most - but not so many new recurring-subscription charges in a single day (for clarity, it's because these are numerous valid 1-time purchases but are being charged incorrectly as recurring-subscriptions).

According to Discover card support, Microsoft is sending them the wrong type of charge method: This billing issue ONLY happens with 1-Time purchases on my Xbox Series X *console* itself, but NOT with purchase on Xbox.com (online xbox.com is billed properly as 1-time charges).

This wasted a lot of my time, Xbox support agents time, and Discover cards time, to figure this out...

Has anyone else experienced this issue, or is there something wrong with my personal Xbox account? I think if it is not just me, then Microsoft needs to fix its Xbox Series X console-billing issue ASAP...... or let me know if it is my account, so I can escalate this issue to Microsoft and investigate further?

FYI - the Xbox Series X/S and Xbox 360 use Microsoft Accounts for payments/billing, and the Discover card is fully accepted and supported by Microsoft accounts for payments/billing in the United States. Also, the Discover card is more widely accepted worldwide than other payment/billing options such as American Express or PayPal... So, I think this is a serious Xbox Console payment/billing issue, deserving some attention and not to be taken lightly IMHO.

Thanks in advance for any helpful replies or suggestions! Xbox Series X billing glitch with Discover credit cards (only on console itself, not at... :)

Unable to us Microsoft store Credit against Xbox Series X pre-order?

I have been buying Microsoft gift cards as a way to save up to buy a Series X. When the time to pre-order came around, I had $550 in Microsoft store credit. That was more than enough to cover the cost of the console and taxes. I finally got an order to go
through at the Microsoft store, but it did not use any of my store credit and it is going to charge my debit card instead. I have contacted support but was told the only way i can use my store credit is to cancel the order and re-order. Obviously if i do that,
i will not get the Series X.

This means I will probably be cancelling and will not get the Series X at launch. After already spending $550 towards it, I’m not going to spend that much again because I cannot change payment on the order to store credit. I can change cards, change it to
Paypal or even mobile billing but not store credit that is on my account. That doesnt even make sense to me.

Sky bug in xbox series x

Hello, I'm Felipe and I'm an independent Community Advisor, and I'll do my best to help you.

Based on your description and the images you provided, it seems that you are experiencing graphical artifacts in the sky when playing certain games on your Xbox Series X console. This issue may be related to the game itself or to the console's hardware or software.

One possibility is that the issue is related to the game's graphics rendering. It is possible that the game's engine is not optimized for the Xbox Series X, or that there is a bug in the game's code that is causing these artifacts. You may want to check if the games have any available updates, as these may include bug fixes that address this issue.

Another possibility is that the issue is related to the Xbox Series X console itself. It could be a hardware issue or a software issue. If the issue only occurs with certain games and not others, this may suggest that it is not a hardware issue. You may want to try resetting your console or clearing the cache to see if this resolves the issue.

It is also possible that the issue is related to the graphics card in the Xbox Series X. The Xbox Series X uses an AMD graphics card, so it is possible that there is a compatibility issue between the game and the graphics card. This may be more likely if you are not experiencing the issue on your PC with an NVIDIA graphics card.

If you continue to experience this issue, you may want to contact Xbox support or the game's developer for further assistance. They may be able to provide more specific advice or troubleshoot the issue further.
