Xbox Series X and Xbox One system settings syncing automatically, how to stop it?

Recently I upgraded to an Xbox Series X and it works great. The settings from my Xbox One automatically saved and transferred to my Series X. Now I want my Xbox One to be some sort of secondary, entertainment system rather than being a part of my gaming setup. I'm trying my best to make my Xbox One user friendly and easy to navigate, but unfortunately any preferences made on my Xbox One, like my Pins and Groups, power settings, and personalization are carried over to my Series X. Which is what I don't want. I want my Series X and the Xbox One to coexist as seperate consoles and to not be synced by the setting. I still want my account on both, and both to be connected to the wifi, but I do not want them to synced. Kind of like the Xbox One and the Xbox 360. Anything done on the Xbox 360 will not effect my Xbox One at all, but both are under the same account and wifi. If anyone has a resolve to this issue, I'm open to any ideas. Whether it be using seperate accounts somehow, or etc.

    :)

Captures not showing up in OneDrive (Xbox Series x)

Hello, my name is Tadeu, I am an Independent Consultant and a member of the Microsoft Xbox community, just like you.

I apologize for the issue you are experiencing.

    I am here to help.

I hope everything is going well and thank you for contacting me.

I'm sorry you're experiencing this issue.

    Please check the steps below.

    1 OneDrive sync settings.

Make sure OneDrive on your PC is set to sync automatically, or that syncing is not paused or stopped.

Check the OneDrive settings on your PC to make sure the Automatically save screenshots I take to OneDrive option is enabled.

    2 Xbox capture settings.

Make sure your Xbox Series X is set to automatically upload screenshots to OneDrive.

You can check this by going to. Xbox Button > Profile & System > Settings > Preferences > Captures > Settings > Preferences > Auto-Upload > To OneDrive.

Make sure your privacy settings allow uploads to OneDrive.

Please note that this is a public forum only. I will respond as soon as possible, and I apologize in advance for any delay in responding. I'm just a user trying to provide information and knowledge that may be useful to others. I am not a Microsoft employee.

    Kind regards Tadeu

How to manage\update multiple Xboxes (efficiently) at same location?

I have a mix of xbox ones, xbox one s, xbox one x, xbox series s and xbox series x. I have 18 xboxes trying to download a game update with that many xboxes becomes a huge hassle time sync.

Xbox Series X Sync button/synced controller stopped. Sync button must work as I am able to get to BIOS. Sync button wont blink.

Thanks for the reply. Interesting, I did not know that it was "wirelessly" connected while connected to a USB C Data Cord. As soon as I unplug, it stays disconnected (in sync mode the controller also keeps blinking then turns off). If this is right I don't know why I also can't sync any of my other Xbox controllers to the series X unless connected with a cord (works on an One X controller also, stops when unplugged). I don't know why the sync button (blinking) stopped operating all together.

I replaced my batteries and tried to pull and place back in earlier with no luck. I also updated the controller as I set up as new.

The interesting thing is I am able to use the series X controller perfectly on PC wirelessly with windows 10/Xbox PC adapter. I have no problems on PC wireless.

    Amd free sync or g-sync

    Hi Jayt20010,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Xbox Community. I understand you have questions about the best setting that you should use for your series X. You will have to use FreeSync or Adaptive sync because G-Sync is a proprietary adaptive sync technology developed by Nvidia for GTX and RTX graphics card. Unlike FreeSync or Adaptive sync that supports more generic synchronization technology and that includes Xbox.

In addition, most modern monitors like yours automatically chooses the most compatible sync technology based on the input.

    Regards,

    Alvaro
