Xbox Series X and Mobile App

Good afternoon,

I'm getting stuck with my Xbox Mobile app, it says when I try to connect for remote downloading or playing the following: "Turn on your console and sign in with your account".

I've enabled remote access, restarted and re-signed in to the console multiple times. When I go to the app and hit the icon second from the right at the top of the screen, it says "It looks like you haven't set up a console here yet". However I did this originally when I set my console up last year. So I don't have the 6 or 10 digits to input from my TV screen from a fresh setup, and going to "Get Started" I have the option also to "add an existing console" this leads me to the aforementioned "Turn on your console and sign in with your account".

I'm stuck in this loop currently. Any help is greatly appreciated!

If you don't have an Xbox console (Xbox One/Series X|S) then your only option is to use the app on mobile.

Thank you! Power cycle worked.

I ended up changing my settings to stop the Xbox being able to turn off other devices and restarted as it asked after that. That allowed the app to find my Xbox but still didn't start the download. Did the power cycle after that and voila it worked!

Hi, I hope you're doing great out there despite the issue that you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regards to your concern.

To fix this, please perform a power cycle on your console by following the steps below:

POWERCYCLE CONSOLE

1. Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off.

2. Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the Xbox button on your controller.

If that didn't work resetting the console keeping games and apps will be the next option. Don't worry because as long as you're connected to Xbox Live your saved progress, games, will not be deleted. It will remove all of your accounts but you can add all of them later on.

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.

Select Reset console.

Reset and keep my games & apps.

Yes, you will still be able to login without the mobile app. One of the cool features of the app is the easy setup on your new series x, but you can do it without.
