    Hello, I have reported this problem to Xbox support several times but I have had no useful help.

    I have an Xbox series X. When connected to my LG C2 TV it displays in 640x480p resolution until it is restarted several times. I have tried all the troubleshooting advice given but this did not help. My Xbox was purchased in November 2020. My brother's Xbox series X worked fine on my TV without displaying the same issue. We tried my console on his LG C2 TV and it has the same problem.

    From what I have read it is a coding "hdmi handshake" issue. It mostly seems to happen on first edition series X consoles. Xbox have been made aware of the problem by several users but no fix has been found.

    I have been told to upload my comments to a Reddit forum in the hope of someone helping. Sadly this only lead to abusive comments that were no help at all. I also contacted Xbox twitter support. They told me to raise the problem via the Xbox console app. I did this 3 times but got no reply. Twitter support also gave me the email address of both the Xbox vice president and CEO to contact! I can't imagine either of them would reply any time soon.

    Have any other Xbox series X/LG C2 users experienced the same fault and is there a fix for this?

    No, unfortunately, one cannot speak of clarity in this case, because I have experienced the exact opposite case.

    I own the LG C1 and the LG C2, and the handshake problems have NEVER occurred in over a year of use on the C1! Instead, however, they keep coming back with the C2 on the same Xbox Series X console. When switching this console back to the C1, the same picture again, NEVER! LG C1 and LG C2 both support Dolby Vision (for gaming). Before testing the LG C2 with one / my Series X, I had never heard of the handshake issue with Dolby Vision. Besides, the LG C2 works very well, but the Dolby Vision handshake in games can hardly be tested on other devices, because the PS5 does not support this feature and other devices are at least unknown to me.
