Xbox series X and Acer Nitro RG321QU 120hz 1440p

Hello i am trying everything under the sun to get my xbox to accept 120hz at 1440p on my Acer Nitro monitor. It shows HDMI is 2.0 48-144hz. Please help!

When you use 1440p as the resolution, you can only select 60hz as the refresh rate?

because that monitor supports set refresh rates at certain resolutions and 120hz is not one listed in the edid for that res, you can select that on pc as pc gpu's can deal with it, the xbox needs to have specific refresh rates listed in the edid and these have to be exact, most monitors only show 120hz as 119.98.

It allows me to select 120hz with 1440p but then gives me the error message saying its not compatible. Even tho the option is there for it

On Video fidelity & overscan > Display > Please change "Overrides" to "HDMI".

On the previous screen, on "Display" you will see a drop down boxes for "Resolution" and "Refresh rate". See if you can now change it to 1440p and 120hz.

If you still cannot use 120hz, please confirm that you are using a HDMI 2.0 port and cable.
