    Xbox Series X 120FPS Question


    Hello everyone, so I'm hoping to steel some knowledge of someone.

    So yesterday I got the Xbox Series X and I wanted to try Gears 5 out at 120FPS. I am aware this is only for multiplayer and I have found the setting in order to change my FPS.

    However, after changing my Xbox to 120hz the cap is stuck at 60 I physically cannot change it.

    I currently own a MAG272C 165hz 1080p Monitor. When I check in the Xbox settings it says my monitor supports native 1080p at 120.

    Does anyone know what this issue could be? I am using the HDMI cable from the new Xbox.

    The Xbox Series X will feature 120fps all the time. New updates will always have it.

    Hi,

    That's not possible I'm afraid. There are no titles that the older Xbox One X can run at 120FPS. For that you'll need a Series X.

    series s will struggle on demanding games to keep 60fps at 1080p. the series x will struggle to keep 60fps at 4k thats for sure. the series x will be ok at 120fps at 1080 and most likely 1440.

    X enhanced games are just for the one X not the S

    As for 120hz though they can display it games are still max 60fps. The series x which is the next gen xbox will be able to do 120fps games

    You are thinking of 1440p at 144hz Vvr with Ray tracing off

    Only ps5 (same hardware on digital or disk)
