Hi,

I would love if someone can shed some light on this error.

I had this issue with my Xbox One and my Xbox One X.

I have tried all the tips and tricks on those consoles to solve the issue, but nothing ever worked.

Fast forward to the release of the Xbox Series X.

I have been up until 2 weeks ago been able to play all of my 4k movies that range from 60ish to 100ish GB and that also have high bitrate/HDR from my portable SSD with no issues.

I am now getting this error on the Xbox Series X. About every 30-35 the movie will stop and this error appears.

Play something else/Not enough memory etc.

I find it hard to believe the Series X has memory issues. Has worked perfectly up until now.

If Microsoft allowed other developers to utilise HDR in apps, we wouldn't be stuck with the garbage that is the movies&TV app. Also, why is HDR so exclusive and denied to other app developers?? Maybe that's for another thread.

But main question here is:

Why is this error now showing on the Xbox Series X??

Ps,

I've tried everything to fix this.

Power cycle/full console reset/different ssd/hdd/different port etc etc.

No. It solved nothing. It still plays half way throught a 4K MKV file and says not enough memory randomly. The XBOX One S did NOT do this!

Hello Joel,

Thanks for coming to the forums. We recommend trying to clear persistent storage. Go to settings>Devices & streaming>Blu Ray>persistent storage> clear 3 times. Once cleared

power cycle the console and try to play them when it is back on.

We don't sure Xbox Series X release day.

But, 2077 will support Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.

I have the Xbox one X project Scorpio, I was told that the game can be downloaded in any serie X or serie S (included mine), thanks for the help!!

Game can only be downloaded on a Series S and Series X, but not an Xbox One X. Xbox One X is not the same as a Series X.
