Xbox series s turns on but doesnt show up with a picture and controller wont connect after...

Power off your console, and then unplug the power cord to ensure that the console is completely powered off. Wait 30 seconds, and then plug the power cord back in. Press and hold the SYNC button, and then press the Xbox button on the console. Continue holding the SYNC button for 10-15 seconds. Listen for two “power-up” tones a couple of seconds apart. You can release the SYNC button after the second power-up tone. The console should power up and take you directly to the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter. Once you see it, please select reset then keep games and apps. No worries, no games will be removed, just sign back in using the right account.

It doesnt show up in my library but i have it on my series s but that xbox is at my dads

i was using the hdmi cable before. ive tried resetting it with the cables in but it doesnt work as the wireless controller wont connect until the xbox has booted up which it doesnt do unless it has a valid signal to the tv. the controller will just flash
constantly trying to connect but not connecting because the xbox wont fully start up which makes it impossible to reset it with the cables in.

I can't see why not. After all, the Series X and S console support Xbox One controllers. That shows the way these new controllers connect hasn't changed. They should work on PC with the Wireless Adaptor.
