Xbox Series S turning off instantly (in a second) after being turned on

Hello everyone, I hadn't used my Xbox Series S in three to four days. Last Friday, when I turned it on, it turned off immediately (literally the next second).

I pressed the power button three or four more times. Each time, I'd see the power button flash once, the controller would vibrate, and there'd be a beep too but all go away the very next second.

This is what I have tried without any luck.

1. Different power outlets.

2. Left the Xbox Series S with all cords unplugged for more than 2 minutes, then 12 hours.

3. Hold the sync button for 10 seconds & press the power button then in the hope to reach safe mode.

4. A different power cord & HDMI.

Elsewhere, I have come across the clues that it might be the faulty PSU. But I don't want to try anything like replacement etc.

As nothing brought the Series S back to normal, I am posting here in the hope to reach a genuine answer for my issue.

Any help would be highly appreciated.

Seems like you have performed all the necessary steps. In this case, you're correct that it's an issue with the hardware itself and we may need to get it checked through Microsoft.

You can create a repair order by signing in to https://account.microsoft.com/devices and then add your console as a device using the serial number. If it's already added simply click on "info & support" and then start order.

Sounds like a bad power brick. Would need to send it in to get a new one put in
