xbox series s louder fan than usual

Your Xbox has certain speeds for exactly the temperature it is at. If you have a disc game in the friction does apply more than digital games but in my experience I've seen this happen due to damage to one of the fan blades or something obstructing the

My Xbox One X fan sounds like a jet about to take off when I'm playing games, it sounds silent when I'm just sitting on Xbox home or watching Twitch or Netflix, but soon as a start up a game it gets loud sometimes it even causes my Xbox to turn
off on its own while I'm in a middle of a game ....

If you play a Xbox One X enhanced game it's normal for the fan to be louder than when on Xbox Home or watching video apps like Netflix or Twitch.

However, the console turning off is not. Can you check if your console is directly connected to a wall outlet, or if you use a power strip? Can you connect the console directly to the wall outlet? If possible, also try a different wall outlet.

check if the console has free space around it

While it's completely normal to hear the fan on the One X, it's not normal for it to be extremely loud, sounding like a jet engine.

To my knowledge this could be caused by the following:

1. Console airflow restricted, either due to location or console is vertical without the stand, therefore blocking ventilation.

Faulty temperature sensor. Machine believes it is overheating so ramps up the fans. Machine goes off to prevent damage. Maybe a false positive?

Seen some videos of this fault on YouTube. Pretty sure the comment I read was the replacement worked fine.
