Xbox Series S feels very slow, audio lagging in menus and games are slow

i had just bought this Series S like everybody else, and when i booted it up i noticed it sounded very off, as if the entire menus were lagging. so i just ignored it but going forward anything i'm listening to sounds very choppy and laggy. thought it was
an audio issue until i tried to play a game and then it's about half the speed it should be. but the game audio sounds fine compared to YouTube/dashboard.

anyone know what the issues is or how to fix it? would greatly appreciate it

I would try to contact support.xbox.com because as far as I can see this isn't a known issue. Making them aware of it would go a long way.

hi thank you for your reply but unfortunately the factory reset or TV mode didnt seem to work

Did you restore from a backup? Because I have problems after I restored from a backup, but then I factory reset the console and it was fine after that.

thats actually exactly what i did, let me factory reset and get back to you

also did you reset completely or keep games and apps?

Hi,

I would check whether or not Game Mode is enabled on your TV. I have noticed this with my Series X where - when I enabled Game Mode - the sound would not synchronize with video at random times. Turning this off fixed the issue - and also improved the speed
of the UI. Also, Game Mode consistently broke HDR.

I have a Samsung TV.

If that doesn't help, I would do a factory reset, and check that I downloaded all updates.
