Xbox series s download/update problem

Im on xbox series s but everytime i try to update or install a game it installs or updates for a bit then immediately stops and this has been happening for a month now i cant play almost anything cause nothing will update or install please help ive tried reseting my xbox dosent work ive tried power cycling nope doesnt work either please help. Thank you

Hi it's a Xbox series s, any other information do you need? The problem is other uses like Playstation have a 36g update and pc but me as a Xbox series s user have a 144gb which is the full game to be update why it was just suppose to be a 36g update.

I have a mix of xbox ones, xbox one s, xbox one x, xbox series s and xbox series x. I have 18 xboxes trying to download a game update with that many xboxes becomes a huge hassle time sync.

Seems like you have performed all the necessary steps. Do you have an external hard drive plugged into your console? A corrupted hard drive may cause issues as well.

Also, when you reset the console did you choose to reset and remove everything?

Please do perform an extended powercycle and reset your network hardware by following the steps below:

" 1. Unplug the power cable from the back of the router, modem, or gateway for 5 minutes. If you have a router and a modem, unplug the power cable from both devices.

2. Press and hold the Xbox button on your console for 10 seconds or until it turns off then wait for 2 minutes before turning it on again.

3. After 5 minutes, plug the modem or gateway in first, and wait for all the lights to return to their normal state.

4. If you are using a router, plug in the router and wait for all the lights to return to their normal state."

I use Xbox series S and it's working fine with the update.

If you believe that the problem is the update, there is no procedure to be done, other than waiting.

This is an incorrect assumption. You can insert an xbox one disc and download updates that may improve visuals and frame rates on Xbox Series X/S but in order to play you still need the disc unless you own the digital version of it.

Xbox Series X will utilize the Xbox One X version of enhancements while Xbox series S will use the Xbox One S enhancements.

You will not get a free game by borrowing or renting a physical version of a game and installing it on Xbox Series X/S.
