Xbox series s blank screen when turnt on

The only in-game option is to hit 'Y' to upgrade to Series X/S. But that takes you to a blank screen in the store.

The lines only come up on my screen when my xbox screen is up so on the dashboard, games everything until I turn my xbox off then they go had no problems last night turnt it on today and had them lines so I thought it might just be a bit glitchy or somthing
and didn't go so turnt it off and back on still there so I just unplugged every thing and gonna try again in like 3 hours

Which Xbox version are you experiencing this issue on - Xbox One or Series X|S? Please specify the exact model.

Before sending in your console for an official repair or replacement, which is only possible if you have a Series X|S, have you tried everything recommended in this support guide (specifically the info under ‘Your screen is blank after you turn on the console’ and ‘Your screen is blank after you install a system update’) and reset your display settings?

it might be that the xbox is set to an higher resolution that your tv might support,

step 1 turn off your xbox by holding the powerbutton for 10 sec

step 2 power it on whilst holding the eject button until you hear the second beep

this should boot your xbox into low res mode
