    Xbox Series pre-order was cancelled today.


    Has any one else had this happen to them?

    I was one of the first wave pre-orders for the Xbox Series X consoles. I received an email on 11/4/2020 that Microsoft was unable to charge my debit card to complete my pre-order. I moved the money from my savings account to my checking account and called
    Microsoft Store Support to see if they could manually charge it and I was told that it would happen automatically and that system would try again between the 5th and 7th.

    The charge never happened. I called again on Monday (11/09), Tuesday (11/10), and Wednesday (11/11). I was finally able to talk to someone (after nearly an hour, each day) on Wednesday only to be told that I needed to call my bank because the bank was blocking
    the authorization. Turns out, it wasn't my bank that was blocking the authorization, it's the Microsoft Store that was blocking the authorization.

    I tried calling back only to be told there was nothing the Microsoft Store could do because there was a system wide issue (reps word, not mine) with the order placements. Each day since then, I have been checking my email to see if there was an update. There
    has been an update alright, that update is that Microsoft auto-cancelled my order instead of re-trying to charge my debit card.

    I guess this is why I never pre-order new consoles.

    Same thing happened to me. It just vanished. Pre order for the series x was there until today. I got no notification of the pre order getting cancelled either.

    I bought hogwarts legacy deluxe edition

    All Deluxe orders were cancelled as it contains the Xbox One version, and the date was changed on that to April

    Pre-orders with the new dates of fulfillment are now open and you can re-order the game

    Cancelling pre-order games?

    Hi, as the Ambassador says you can cancel the pre-order by contacting Xbox support, I would recommend you call them by phone.

    Can I cancel a pre-order?

    Yes, before we release the game, you can cancel your pre-order by contacting Xbox Support.

    Please log in to your account at this link, https://account.microsoft.com/billing/orders.

    Look for the pre-order transaction you made for the game there then select it. Choose to cancel the pre-order for the Xbox One version. Once that's done, all you need to do is pre-order the Xbox Series S version.

    We have both upgraded to series s now. Does he need to cancel the pre order and buy the Cross gen version for £70 or will the xbox one version work?
