    Xbox Series Controller not mapped correctly in FF XII launched via Xbox Game Pass


    When trying to play Final Fantasy XII on Game Pass for PC the game launches successfully and brings me to the title screen but my Xbox controller's inputs are all incorrect. X and B are flipped holding the start button works like the right trigger the start menu is triggered by the right thumbstick etc... not a single correct input.

    I am using a Xbox Series controller I bought direct from M$, I am running gamepass without any other game launchers active at the same time I have tried a full un-install reinstall. I verified that the only programs running are the xbox app, and the game.

    I have tried using a DS4 but that won't even recognize any input.

    If anybody has any insight or knows of a fix I would appreciate this lots, I played this back on the PS2 and really wanted to play it again.

    Sigh...Yep. Man, If I could get back the amount of wasted bandwidth on nonfunctioning games on GamePass, I'd be a little less salty about the lack of support.
    Same problems with Xbox controller, same details.

    So I was looking at game music on youtube and I think I have to go play FF XII again. I really wish it would be remastered like they did X. I love the look. It's interesting that this FF and Morrowind were my gateway games. I loved everything about them.
    I played them at the same time though Morrowind was much older and suffered by comparison to FF XII graphically speaking.
