Xbox series controller acting funky in halo mcc via Xbox app on pc

I have the Master Chief Collection installed via the Xbox app on my pc running windows 11 and the game seems to be reseting my character’s position or teleporting my character with every controller input. In the in-game menus when I use the thumb sticks to select something it will jump from option to option with out sticking to one for example if try to select multiplayer the selector will jump to settings two slots down. Can you help me.

Everything is connected directly and the controller works on literally every other game.

Is the controller software up to date?

Update your controller on Windows 10/11 by using the Xbox Accessories app:

If you don’t already have the app installed, get it in the Store:

Microsoft Store

Open the Xbox Accessories app.

Connect your Xbox Wireless Controller by using a USB cable or the Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows.

When the controller is connected, you'll see the message Update Required if an update is mandatory. Install the update.

Things to keep in mind

The Xbox Accessories app is available only on Windows 10/11.

Updating the controller over Bluetooth is not supported.

If it still does the same. Please download controller tester and check for stick drift.

Make sure you don't have steam open. This usually makes the controls go funky for me.

Halo MCC is NOT play anywhere, if you buy for xbox you can only use it on xbox, if you buy for pc via xbox app you can only use it via pc.

It is cross save only.

I picked up Xbox One X in Sep'18 and I am enjoying Halo MCC with Gamepass. I had played Halo 1 and Halo 2 way back on my PC. Other is Gear of War Series, I completed Gears of War 4 on PC and now I was able to complete the series via Gamepass.
