Xbox screenshots won't share to OneDrive

As the title says. Since the xbox companion app is now shut down, so to all it's features and functions, none of which have been intergrated into the new xbox app, which make the new one completly useless and a waste of space. The only way to get screenshots and clips from the xbox to the pc (without a mobile) is via onedrive. So far, clips are transfered, even if slower than a pensioner in a bingo hall going to the bathroom, but it still gets done. The screenshots however just never transfer at all.

It would of been in microsoft's best interest with the 2 xbox apps to have moved all features and functions from the old one to the new, but they are 2 completly different apps that do completely different things, and killing one of them just kills a bunch of things people actually used. Such as the sharing of screenshots and clips from xbox to pc, streaming the xbox to the pc, and other stuff.

In short my question is, how do I get the screenshots from the xbox to the pc without a mobile?

    :)

Xbox screenshots won't share to OneDrive

    Hello, BeastDude.

Thanks for reaching out to our Microsoft Community Forum.

We understand that you're having trouble sharing Xbox screenshots to OneDrive. Specifically, Xbox screenshots won't share to your OneDrive account.

This issue may be caused by OneDrive settings that need to be changed. Or it may also be a problem with the Internet connection or computer you are using. So, can you try the steps below to resolve the issue.

    1. Make sure that your Xbox and PC are both connected to the same network.

    2. On your Xbox, go to Settings > Preferences > Xbox app connectivity and make sure that "Allow game streaming to other devices" and "Allow connections from any device" are both turned on.

    3. On your PC, open the Xbox app and sign in with the same Microsoft account that you use on your Xbox.

    4. In the Xbox app, go to Settings > Game DVR and make sure that "Record game clips and screenshots using Game DVR" is turned on.

    5. Try taking a new screenshot on your Xbox and see if it automatically uploads to OneDrive. If it doesn't, try manually uploading the screenshot to OneDrive by selecting it in the Xbox app and choosing "Share" > "OneDrive".

If these steps don't resolve the issue, please let me know and we can explore other troubleshooting options.

    Sincerely,

    Viewing Screenshots on PC

Hey there, Sil3nt! To share your screenshots with your PC, you will want to upload them to OneDrive. Please be sure to have OneDrive installed on your Xbox One before you follow these steps. If it's not on there, the option to share won't show OneDrive as
    an option.

You will want to go to Upload Studio > Select Manage clip > Select the Filter drop drop > Select Screenshots > Select the screenshot you want > Hit the Menu button on your controller > Select Share > Select OneDrive. This will give you
access to your screenshot on OneDrive, which you can sign into on your PC and create a shared link for! You will want to make sure you sign into the same email and password on the OneDrive site that you use for your Xbox
    One.

Hopefully that helps you out! Please let us know if you need further assistance on this. We want to make sure you are able to share all those awesome screenshots you've taken. :D
