    XBox screen larger than tv screen


    Originally had my xbox on a tv and it fit the screen. Then I moved to a computer monitor and the first time it powered up it asked me to set the screen edges to the monitor size. I have since moved back to using the same tv I was on originally but the xbox picture is larger than my tv screen. So the edges of my game UI are out of viewable area.

    My tv does not have a ratio setting to adjust the screen edges to match the games. Is there a way to change this on the xbox interface like it had me to on the computer monitor?

    My tv is 4k UHDR but after the restore I can now only get 420p through trouble shoot start up

    Buying new TV - X1 already preordered

    I have a 40 in. Samsung 1080p HD LCD LED TV that's lasted me for years with little to no problems. My advice is to definitely go with Samsung LCD LED, but to go easy on the screen-size; the size of the screen doesn't matter - only the quality of the image.
    Save your money by getting smaller screen sizes because you'll get used to the larger sizes within hours (I find that 30-40 in. work best - any larger than that is a waste of money).

    Are you saying you get a blank screen when you turn the Xbox 360 on? Are you connecting with HDMI, or the larger A/V connector?

    Try giving this
    support article     a read, as this helps you troubleshoot a blank screen.

    Would be even better if that was a console feature so that everything would properly fit TVs with overscan (image larger than screen).

    -

    You can go into settings -> system -> console settings -> display -> HDTV settings, then choose one of the resolutions below 1080p/720p.. For instance, 1920x1080 or 1300x720. Image should fit the screen perfectly.
