    Xbox says "your security protocol won't work"


    The message I see when I try to to connect to my private network is "this console supports WPA2/WPA3 (personal), WPA/WPA2 (personal), WPA2 (personal), and WEP network security protocols, but your router is using something else. You'll need to change your routers configuration"

    My routers security is WPA3 (personal), which is one of the supported protocols, is there a way I can resolve this without changing my routers security? as I would prefer to keep WPA3 if I can.

    Hi Blakeyboii! My name is Ricardo an independent advisor ready to help you with this situation!

    You are using a different protocol, as i understand you have it set like this

    WPA2/WPA3 Personal as your security.
    WPA3 option in the “Version” setting.

    But you should set it with WPA2 as the version settings to be compatible

    It keep on tellin the wpa and wpa2 and when i press test network connection it says its all good but it dont show no wifi names it just say add a network
