Xbox says restart router when switching networks.

I would recommend that you restart your router. Make sure it is switched off for 30 seconds. Once restarted, run the network and multiplayer tests in the network settings.

I have been experimenting with 2 xbox one's behind the R7000 with UPnP.

In principle it will work fine but there is a small problem. It seems that when you start up the Xbox one form standby (not the power saving mode) or you are fooling around with the Settings/internet menu, it can happen that the port mappings that have been
been with UPnP can get lost. This will result in a Strict NAT.

Switching the Xbox to power down state and restarting will clear this up.

Under "normal" conditions this will not happen.

Also never restart your router while Xbox one is on. If you have to restart your router always first shut off your network devices that rely on UPnP.

When router is restarted, restart the network devices.

It could be the router settings in the Sky router. You would have to go into it and see what going on. IF at all possible could log into both routers and compare settings, but might be difficult if they totally different routers. When you switch again go
to settings>network>network settings>adv. settings> alt mac address>clear and restart.

error, it's probably a networking issue.

Pull wired connection and switch to wifi or switch networks altogether or router restart.

It resolved this for me. I looked on the Internet for solution, Microsoft no help.

switch off the xbox, disconnect from the mains, restart your router, when fully back on then start the xbox up and try again.
