Xbox says my account is a different account than the one I use

So ive spent about an hour and half now on this. Extremely frustrated, xbox database shows my account (one pictured below) but no way in gods green earth to get into it as when i use the email it gives me a different account.

Hello, since when you try to sign in it takes you to a different profile, you will to make sure that you are signed with the correct account you set up with Xbox profile.

I go to xbox.com/accounts and click on billing contact information. It takes me to login.live.com with a different email than the one I use for xbox.com.

It's saying "Help us protect your account. We'll send a security code to verify your account."

Ok, so when I go into my account it still shows that my Xbox account is not linked. However I did notice that my email in my account is different than the one I used to sign in. Though when I tried to change it to my Microsoft one it said that it was already taken.

You cannot merge two different accounts into one. You can upgrade the offline account on your xbox to a gold account (using a different email than the the one you used for the windows phone) and then factory reset your phone and you will be able to use
the login info from your new gold account.

Figured this out. My PC MS Store account was using a different MS account than my Xbox account. Switched it over and it started working as expected
