    Hello. so i recently got border lands 2 on the epic game store. i have made a lot of progress on my xbox account using a friends console. i need that save back. i have linked the accounts but is still not showing. Can some help me? please!!

    When you say you purchased border lands 2 on the epic games store and you made some progress on your xbox account on your friends console.

    The purchase you made was it for the Xbox family of consoles? PC? PS family of consoles?

    What version of the game did you purchase?

    The thing is this according to this link

    You are NOT able to transfer game progress between different platforms. I.E.... if you purchased the game through the epic games store for the PC or PS then you would not be able to use your game progress from where you were playing it on your friends
    Xbox console on either one of these platforms.

    you need to hover over borderlands 2 and click pause and find manage games and ad-ons, in there you should look for "saved data" if you have no saved data, you will need to get a usb and download his xbox cloud onto your console, or just start over again
    unfortunately.

    You shiuld check the setting again in the Epic games setting as they might not have saved and if he has a child accout on the xbox it still might not allow it to work , also check the fourms on Epics site as it might be a known issue

    Xbox game saves are stored on the cloud so when you later buy it from the official store, the epic store or steam, it will synch and download your game save and you can continue where you left off.

    What? Previous communities and save games not compatible? Are you kidding me?
    They are if you have a community on Windows 10 or Xbox One it will work after the update but will not transfer to Steam or Epic Games version.

    So if you played State of Decay before you will not lose anything.

    I just loaded the game on steam, signed in to my microsoft account, and my communities and characters are gone.

    Unless you meant "stay on xbox pc beta and you won't lose anything"?

    As I said on the second line they will not transfer Steam or Epic Games.

    Outfits, unlocked bounties, boons, and other account progress
    will be transferred to all platforms & achievements already earned on Xbox One & Windows 10 will transfer over to Steam and Epic Games Store.

    Saved game files and communities
    will not transfer     between Xbox One/Windows 10, Steam and Epic Games Store, however, saved games and communities will continue to
    transfer between Xbox One and Windows 10 Microsoft Store.
