    Xbox S shows TV is not 4K


    Hi,

    I've recently purchased an XBox S and am connecting it with my Haier 4K LED (Model H43K66UG) using the HDMI that came with my Xbox.

    However, the Xbox TV details shows that my TV does not support 4K whereas it does as per the company. It is also not switching the resolution manually and the setting is set to detect automatically.

    Can someone please guide regarding this?

    4k problems on xbox one s

    I am having a similar issue. My xbox one s and tv support all video functions, and when gaming or in the menus, my tv shows that the output is in 4k. As soon as I load up Deadpool 4k blu-ray, my tv shows that the output is 1080p.. Any ideas?

    Xbox Series S Graphics performances

    Well no your best would be 1440p by 120hz if your tv would support that

    Most games will only support 1080p depending on the tv

    You gotta remember the series s is NOT a 4k console

    It only upscales movies and TV shows to 4k not games

    If you force it to 4k you will drop frames like crazy

    Series x and xbox one xis 4k native at 60 and 30hz

    Series s and below are 1440p max with recommended 90hz max

    Hi,

    and did you set your resolution to 4K in the general settings of the console ?

    There it shows also a list of what my TV shows and what it can't. Like for example it can't show 4K with 120Hz, only 4K with 60Hz.

    If I start a game with 4K support the Series S is switching to 4K. A game like Rocket League for example.

    Xbo one S and xbox one X

    The XBOX ONE S is 4K, you have to have a 4K TV in order to get 4K content. Then your 4K TV has to be directly in the XBOX (TV IN ) HDMI slot. Once you connect this your XBOX will automatically download the Blu Ray 4K app
