Xbox s series problems with game play console on downloaded content freeze console freeze

Click with the menu button on the game icon and go to manage game and add-ons and in saved data delete the ''reserved space'', clean your console's MAC, restart when your internet devices for a few minutes, and try again.

To clean the MAC follow this path
Settings>general>network settings>advanced settings>alternative MAC address and click clear and restart the console when prompted.

If that doesn't work reset the console to factory defaults, you won't lose anything but you will need to log in with your account again. Email and password are required.

Follow this path and select reset keeping games and app.
In 5 to 10 minutes you will finish reconfiguring your console

To reset the console>
Settings> System> Console Info> Reset Console

***Do not reset your console without having your account email and password.***

Is this the only time your console freezes, when trying to download content? Just to clarify, it never starts the download, correct? It freezes when you press the button?

Please go through the XBOX Screen Freeze solution guide here. It should give you a clue as to why your console is freezing. It's quite
possible that there's an issue with whatever storage device you are using that could be causing the problem with any sort of downloadable content.

You may also want to consider deleting the content, and then clearing your cache for the drive.
