Hi! I'm Luis, a fellow Xbox Gamer . Thanks for reaching us out here.

Unfortunately if you have already provided proper ventilation and performed a factory reset without success. You will have to service your console

    Fuzzy screen

I did follow that, my problem is it doesn't reset. I followed the instructions on the Xbox support website, I looked at different websites and I even watched a YouTube video on how to reset the display settings. Nothing happens! The console doesn't reset!
The screen doesn't change and I've held the buttons down for over 3 minutes (as suggested by one website link). HOW DO YOU RESET THE DISPLAY SETTINGS ON AN XBOX 360?

    Fuzzy Screen

    Hi Dreislao,

Sorry you're having issues with your video. Try manually setting your display settings. To do this go to settings, all settings, Display and Sound, then select Video Output. If you have the display set to auto-detect try changing it to 1080p or 720p
(depending on your TV resolution). If that doesn't work, power off your Xbox, unplug it for 30 seconds, then plug it back in. To power it on hold the Power button AND Eject button until you see something on your screen. This basically resets your display settings.

    Hope this helps!

    Fuzzy screen

Sorry to hear it. If the steps posted above do not work you can try using a composite cable.

Make sure you're doing them properly. The steps do work. Try using a wired controller if you're having trouble. Alternatively, you can go into your Xbox display settings like I said, and change your video settings yourself. If, after you've changed your
video settings, you're still getting artifacts, then your Xbox needs to be serviced.
